Our client is an ISO 13485-certified medical device manufacturing company engaged in the development and manufacture of advanced Neurovascular, Cardiovascular and Critical Care medical devices.
The company is establishing an advanced manufacturing facility at Medical Devices Park, Oragadam, Tamil Nadu, with capabilities in precision polymer extrusion, catheter shaft manufacturing, braiding and other specialised medical-device manufacturing processes.
We are looking for a hands-on Assistant Manager Medical Extrusion & Catheter Braiding to lead and establish precision extrusion and braiding operations for medical-device components.
The role will focus on precision medical tubing and catheter shafts, ensuring process stability, quality, productivity and successful scale-up of manufacturing operations.
Preferred candidate profile
MUST-HAVE KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Strong hands-on experience in polymer extrusion / precision medical tubing.
- Knowledge of medical-grade polymers such as PEBAX, TPU, Nylon, FEP, ETFE or similar.
- Experience with small-diameter tubing; multilayer/multilumen experience is an advantage.
- Experience in catheter manufacturing and/or catheter braiding is highly preferred.
- Positive understanding of extrusion parameters, tooling and dimensional control.
- Strong troubleshooting and process-improvement capability.
- Experience in production/team handling.
- Exposure to medical-device quality systems, ISO 13485, GMP and cleanroom practices.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead day-to-day medical extrusion and catheter-braiding operations.
- Establish and optimise processes for precision tubing and catheter shafts.
- Control process parameters, tooling, dimensional quality, yield and productivity.
- Troubleshoot extrusion/braiding issues and reduce scrap and process variation.
- Lead and develop operators, technicians and production teams.
- Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, R&D; and Maintenance for smooth production.
- Support process validation, new product introduction and manufacturing scale-up.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, documentation and medical-device quality requirements.
