Roles and Responsibilities – Engagement Coordinator & Facilitator
We believe meaningful engagement and positive learning experiences can be powerful tools for transformation.
As an Engagement Coordinator & Facilitator, you will work directly with children in the Observation Home, using debates, games, activities, educational sessions, creative expression, and exposure-based learning as tools for engagement, learning, and personal development.
The role combines facilitation, teaching, program support, creativity and documentation, with a focus on creating positive and meaningful experiences for children in conflict with the law.
Key Responsibilities:
Engagement and Facilitation
- Conduct regular sessions with children on general education, value education, life skills, current affairs, and exposure-based learning.
- Create engaging lesson plans and structured learning modules that are adapted to the needs and levels of the children.
- Facilitate group activities, debates, games, discussions, and reflective exercises, that encourage participation, learning and personal growth.
- Create opportunities for children to explore current interests, develop confidence, and engage with different ideas and perspectives.
Event Design and Execution
- Conceptualize and organize events, celebrations, competitions, and thematic activities that enrich the children’s experiences.
- Plan and execute creative and exposure-based activities for children.
- Support in planning and executing creative initiatives for children, staff, and broader system engagement.
Space Creation and Aesthetic Development
- Contribute to developing positive and child-friendly spaces within the Observation Home through design, visual storytelling, and creative installations.
Documentation and Content Creation
- Document key activities, children’s progress, and creative processes through reports, case notes, and internal records.
- Write blogs, stories, and content pieces that highlight the work and learning emerging from the Observation Home.
Curriculum and Syllabus Development
- Support in designing curriculum plans, session outlines, and annual learning calendars for various age and learning levels.
- Develop age and level-appropriate educational and engagement resources.
Support to Other Organizational Projects
- Contribute to other ongoing projects of the organization where your skills, experience, and creative expertise are valuable.
Supporting Government Teachers
- Working alongside government teachers at the Observation Home to upskill them and help them deliver better lessons.
Qualifications
Graduate Degree
Experience in Teaching or facilitation experience.
At Least 2 years of work experience (Exceptions can be made in special cases)
Exposure to the social sector is a bonus.
