Reporting to: Plant Head The Electrical Manager will lead the electrical maintenance and automation function of the packaging manufacturing plant. The role ensures uninterrupted operations of electrical systems, supports new machine installations, and coordinates with purchase and production teams to maintain efficiency, safety, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems including PLCs, transformers motors, and drives.
- Lead automation initiatives to improve plant efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Supervise installation and commissioning of current machines and equipment.
- Coordinate with purchase/procurement teams for electrical spares and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and statutory requirements.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for electrical systems, audits, and reports.
- Guide and train the electrical maintenance team to enhance technical capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 7–12 years of experience in electrical maintenance/management within packaging manufacturing industry.
- Strong expertise in PLC programming, transformer operations, troubleshooting, and automation systems.
- Experience in new machine installation and commissioning.
- Knowledge of purchase coordination and vendor management for electrical equipment.
- Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
- Customer‑centric attitude with focus on service quality.
