ABOUT THE ROLE

F5 Global Talent is hiring an experienced Electrical CAD Drafter to produce permit-ready electrical drawing packages for U.S. electrical and EV charging infrastructure projects.

You’ll create electrical site plans, one-line and riser diagrams, panel configurations, breaker and equipment information, utility-service layouts, and complete permit drawing sets.

This is a drawing-production role — not permit administration. You’ll often work from client sketches, partial plans, equipment specifications, and other incomplete information. You need to determine what can be resolved, clearly mark assumptions where necessary, and keep the drawing set moving.

A portfolio is required showing at least one electrical drawing you personally produced.

This is a full time, remote role for candidates based in India, working U.S. business hours.

IMPORTANT: We’re looking for someone who has personally produced electrical permit drawings. Experience limited to researching jurisdictions, submitting permits, tracking applications, or reviewing drawings prepared by others is not sufficient.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Prepare permit-ready electrical site plans
- Develop electrical one-line and riser diagrams
- Show panels, transformers, service disconnects, CT cabinets, meters, utility service, and related equipment
- Prepare panel configurations, breaker sizes, and equipment ratings
- Produce complete drawing sets from existing plans, client sketches, and equipment specifications
- Work effectively when project information is incomplete and clearly document assumptions
- Incorporate revisions from clients, engineers, utilities,



and permitting authorities
- Maintain accurate drawing revisions and document control
- Produce clean, submission-ready PDF drawing packages
- Manage multiple drawing revisions accurately and efficiently

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- Hands-on experience producing electrical permit or construction drawings
- Strong AutoCAD or equivalent CAD drafting experience
- Experience personally preparing one-line and riser diagrams
- Electrical site-plan preparation and layout experience
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical plans
- Understanding of electrical systems and drafting conventions
- Familiarity with panels, breakers, disconnects, meters, transformers, and related equipment
- Experience revising drawings based on redlines or technical feedback
- Strong documentation and drawing-revision management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written English
- Ability to work independently and keep projects moving

NICE TO HAVE

- EV charging / EVSE infrastructure experience
- Experience preparing utility or permit-submittal drawing packages
- Familiarity with utility-service layouts and CT cabinets
- Bluebeam experience
- Revit experience
- PDF editing and markup experience
- Other electrical drafting or design software experience
