You didn't study design to spend five years in a corner, drafting someone else's ideas for 25,000 a month.

What your week actually looks like

Monday you're on a call with a family in Andheri who've just got possession. They want a kitchen and two wardrobes, and they have no idea what a tandem box costs. You do. By Wednesday you're at their flat with a tape and a torch, checking the shaft, the beam, the plumbing point everybody else missed. Thursday you're across a table showing them why acrylic makes sense in the kitchen and membrane doesn't, walking them through the quote line by line. Friday they sign.

Six weeks later you stand in that kitchen on installation day and it's yours. Not a drawing you handed upward. Yours.

Then you do it again, and the incentive cheque reflects every one.

What you'll be doing

- Handling incoming leads: understanding the family, the flat, the budget and the brief
- Technical site visits, measurements, and the feasibility calls that separate a professional from a catalogue seller
- Designing and specifying modular kitchens, wardrobes, office furniture and small-to-mid interior packages
- Building your own quotations and BOQs, and owning the commercial conversation
- Presenting to clients, handling objections, closing the order




- Building relationships with architects and interior designers in your catchment, so your pipeline eventually feeds itself
- Staying with the project through production and installation, because the handover is where reputations are made

You'll fit here if

- You have 2–5 years in modular furniture, interiors, or building products
- You hold a B.Arch, B.Des or Interior Design diploma, and can still read a drawing in your sleep
- You genuinely enjoy talking to clients. Some designers find the human part draining. If you find it the best part of the job, read on.
- You know your materials: ply grades, finishes, Hettich and Hafele hardware, edge banding, what actually survives a Mumbai monsoon
- You're comfortable with AutoCAD, Excel, and a quotation that has to hold its margin
- Fluent English and Hindi. Marathi, Gujarati is a bonus.
- Willing to travel across MMR for site visits
