Role Description The DCS/PLC Commissioning Engineer is a full-time role responsible for commissioning, testing, and validating Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) for industrial projects. This hybrid position is based in the Pune Division, with on-site work at client facilities and some flexibility for work-from-home tasks such as documentation, remote diagnostics, and configuration updates. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring control logic, integrating instrumentation and field devices, performing loop checks, and supporting start-up and performance testing of process control systems.

The role involves diagnosing control system issues,



coordinating with project and site teams, preparing technical reports, and ensuring that systems meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. The engineer will also support system upgrades, provide training to client personnel, and contribute to continuous improvement of commissioning procedures and standards.

Qualifications

- Robust skills in Process Control and Control Systems Design for DCS and PLC-based automation solutions.
- Hands-on capabilities in Troubleshooting and Instrumentation for industrial and process environments.
- Solid foundation in Electrical Engineering related to control panels, wiring, and industrial power and signal systems.
- Experience with configuration and commissioning of DCS/PLC systems from major vendors and familiarity with industrial communication protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs;, control narratives, loop diagrams, and electrical schematics.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with project teams, site personnel, and clients.
- Relevant engineering degree or diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or related discipline.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites within and outside the Pune Division as project needs require and to work safely in industrial environments.
