About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Database Engineer / DBA with strong database fundamentals and experience managing production database environments.

The role involves working across PostgreSQL and non-relational databases, including vector and graph databases. The candidate should be able to independently learn and operationalize unfamiliar database technologies.

Must-Have Skills

- 4–8 years of hands-on Database Engineering / DBA experience
- Strong experience with at least one RDBMS:
- PostgreSQL
- MySQL
- Oracle
- SQL Server
- Production experience in:
- Backup & Recovery
- Performance Tuning
- Database Upgrades
- Hands-on experience with at least one:
- Vector DB: Milvus, Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant
- Graph DB: Neptune, Neo4j, JanusGraph
- Vector database experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of replication, sharding,



consistency and indexing strategies
- Linux environment experience
- Python or Bash scripting for automation
- Solid troubleshooting and communication skills

Good to Have
- AWS RDS / Neptune / DocumentDB
- Cypher, Gremlin or SPARQL
- Vector search concepts such as embeddings and ANN indexing
- Experience supporting AI/ML or search-heavy applications

Key Responsibilities
- Manage backup and recovery strategies, including full/incremental backup and point-in-time recovery.
- Plan and execute database patching and upgrades with minimal downtime.
- Perform performance tuning, indexing and scaling.
- Create monitoring baselines, provisioning templates and operational runbooks.
- Support and operationalize new database technologies.
- Troubleshoot database incidents and act as an escalation point.
- Work independently on production database issues and architecture decisions.
