About The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Data Engineer to join our expanding Data Engineering practice at Kagool. This role involves leading and executing projects that help our global clients modernize their data and analytics infrastructure using Azure cloud services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable, efficient, and reliable data solutions.

You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements, craft tailored data architectures, and implement best practices in data governance, quality, and security. This position offers significant training and development opportunities, allowing you to enhance your technical skills while working on high-profile projects for well-known international brands. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of modern data platform architecture, hands-on experience with Azure services, and a passion for solving complex technical challenges.

Qualifications





- Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Extensive experience working with Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Server, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Proficiency in designing and developing data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks, with experience in orchestration using languages such as Python, Scala, or R.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience in building and maintaining scalable ETL processes.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based data solutions, DevOps practices, and Continuous Delivery.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality, and Data Modeling principles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience with legacy database migration and familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of SAP systems is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain highly efficient and scalable ETL processes utilizing big data technologies and cloud infrastructure.
- Deploy code to production environments, ensuring system stability and performance.
- Leverage large-scale cloud infrastructure to build high-throughput, reliable data services.
- Implement data pipelines and workflows using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other Azure services.




- Develop and optimize SQL and Python code for data processing and analytics.
- Ensure data governance, quality, and security standards are adhered to across all projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and deliver solutions on time.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to maintain high-quality standards.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and continuously improve technical skills and project methodologies.
