Data Engineer (data integration and streaming platforms)

Data Engineer with strong experience in event-driven data integration and streaming platforms, ideally with hands-on expertise in Confluent Kafka and CDC technologies.

Experience:

- Strong Data Engineering background, including data modelling, transformation, and integration
- Experience working within cloud environments and tools
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data platforms
- Ideally experience with Apache Kafka/Confluent Platform, inc support CDC (Change Data Capture) solutions, and managing Kafka topics, schemas, connectors, and stream processing pipelines
- Good understanding of event-driven architecture and real-time data streaming patterns
- Familiarity with Avro/JSON schema management and Schema Registry




- Experience integrating data between legacy and contemporary platforms
- Strong SQL/Python skills and experience working with relational databases
- Understanding of data mapping, data quality, and common data models
- Strong stakeholder communication skills and ability to work across business and technical teams
