This remote, offshore position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data engineering, data modeling, and MDM concepts.
The engineer will work closely with onshore data architecture and platform teams to ingest data from multiple authoritative sources such as SAP, Salesforce/Engage, and others, ensuring seamless integration and high data quality. The role involves developing layered data architectures—covering RAW, STAGED, and PROFILE layers—and contributing to the development of graph-based MDM models that encompass entities like Clubs, Schools, Colleges, and Individuals, as well as product style and variant models. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work on complex data projects within a collaborative environment, leveraging advanced tools and techniques to deliver scalable, efficient, and accurate data solutions.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 8+ years of IT experience with a strong background in data engineering and MDM.
Essential qualifications include expertise in Snowflake (minimum 5 years), PL/SQL (5 years), Master Data Management (5 years), scripting with Python (5 years), and experience with SAP, Salesforce, or similar systems. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in data profiling, data quality, and layered data architecture implementation. Strong knowledge of data modeling across relational, dimensional, and graph structures is required.
Practical experience with DevOps practices, automation scripting, and Agile methodologies is highly desirable. A proven track record of working with large datasets, performance tuning, and implementing enterprise-grade data solutions is essential. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across geographically dispersed teams are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities

- Extract, transform, and load data from SAP, Salesforce, and other sources, ensuring high data quality and integrity.
- Develop and maintain advanced SQL queries, including window functions, recursive CTEs, and complex joins for data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Create reusable Python scripts and libraries for data ingestion, transformation, and automation tasks.
- Perform data profiling and quality assessments,
implementing validation rules and anomaly detection in a database-agnostic manner.
- Implement MDM concepts such as match/merge, survivorship rules, hierarchy management, and golden record creation.
- Develop and maintain data models, including relational, dimensional, and graph schemas, to support enterprise data needs.
- Apply DevOps practices by managing code repositories, conducting code reviews, and deploying updates through CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate manual data operations using scripting and orchestration tools like Airflow, Snowflake Tasks, or similar.
- Collaborate with onshore teams to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver high-quality data solutions within an Agile environment.
- Participate in continuous learning to stay updated with emerging data technologies, tools, and best practices.
