About The Role The Data Engineer role at IQVIA is a pivotal position focused on designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale, high-performance data systems. As a Lead Developer, you will analyze enterprise-wide information needs to establish robust data architecture requirements. Your technical leadership will be instrumental in guiding end-to-end data solutions, ensuring they align with organizational goals and compliance standards.

This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on expertise in cloud data platforms, data modeling, and ETL processes, primarily utilizing Snowflake, Python, and SQL. The position is based in Bengaluru and offers a hybrid work environment, combining remote flexibility with on-site collaboration.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a strong educational background in technology or related fields, including a BTech, BCA, BSc, MTech, MCA, or MSc.



Candidates should have between 5 to 12 years of relevant experience in data engineering, with proven expertise in cloud data platforms, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes. Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Python, and SQL is essential.

Familiarity with data transformation tools like dbt and a solid understanding of Big Data frameworks will be advantageous. A demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage complex projects is highly desirable. Candidates should also have a good understanding of data governance, security standards, and system integration principles.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement comprehensive end-to-end data architectures, including software components, cloud infrastructure, and data pipelines to meet current and future enterprise requirements.
- Provide technical leadership to development teams by supervising daily activities, mentoring team members on best practices in software engineering, and guiding project execution from inception to deployment.
- Ensure all data systems adhere to corporate IT architecture standards, data governance policies, and security frameworks to maintain compliance and data integrity.
- Analyze workflows, data organization,



and project planning to identify areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions to optimize system performance and efficiency.
- Manage multiple project streams by providing regular updates, status reports, and performance metrics to program leadership to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
