Core Finance Change Delivery
Key Responsibilities
Avaloq - Monthly Goca Maintenance
- Support the maintenance and updates of the Chart of Accounts of the Private Bank entities using the Avaloq Core Banking System - Swiss, Luxembourg, Guernsey, UK, Hong Kong, Singapore - by ensuring this is following the Groups FTP Chart of Account
- Analyse demands regarding Grca, FTP and Goca changes, and provide clear guidance and conclusion in the usage of these figures for each Private Bank entities using the Avaloq Core Banking System.
Avaloq Changes
- Support in designing solutions and in implementing each demand (Jira's),
by analysing the technical requirements, by liaising with concerned stakeholders (Finance and IT), and by performing needed tests in the change workflow (DEV, SIT, UAT) into Avaloq.
Avaloq Implementations
- Perform all testing regarding latest implementation of Avaloq, as per accounting perspective
=>Testing Balancing Rules lifecycle for each Product =>Testing Booking rules lifecycle for each Product - analysing the usage of the Bookind in Avaloq
Data Controls
- Organize and perform controls on important amount of data, highlight the inconsistencies that might appear, understand the reasons of these, and liaise with concerned stakeholders to implement needed changes.
Product Owner Administration
- Follow up on Product Owner subjects (jiras).
Customers / Stakeholders
- Build strong relationships within GPB Finance teams, and IT teams
- Be accountable to present clear solutions within changes and implementation for current requirements
Leadership & Teamwork
- Collaborative behaviours, actively share ideas / approaches with the rest of the GPB Finance teams
- Utilise fully the onshore / offshore operating model
Operational Effectiveness & Control
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with appropriate Group Standard and practices
- Provide assurance that any process risks identified are highlighted and managed as appropriate
- Support all regulatory and compliance matters and the management of operational risk
Major Challenges
- Be able to cover a wide range of financial matters and products from accounting perspective
- Partner with the Finance teams to achieve a strong and accurate maintenance of the Avaloq Chart of Account
Management of Risk
- Ensure all actions take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring
- Addressing any areas of concern in conjunction with line management and/or the appropriate department
Observation of Internal Controls
- Maintains internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
- Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy
Requirements
- Knowledge of IFRSs and awareness of banking/finance concepts
- Strong working knowledge in MS Office tools
- Being able to handle simple source systems with no guidance and complex source systems with limited guidance
- Proven evidence of strong communication skills used to successfully lead, coordinate and conclude business discussion sessions
- Ability to initiate and drive discussions with key stakeholders to effective conclusion
- Capable of organizing and managing day to day activities/initiatives for self & team independently
- Good team player with proven ability of working with colleagues within & outside of own functional area/team
- Ability to multi-task on activities within & outside of the immediate functional area/team
- Demonstrate capability to learn and improve self & team's performance on an on-going basis

What additional skills will be good to have?
