Role Description The Compost Yard Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for overseeing daily operations at the compost yard. This includes managing the receipt, sorting, and processing of organic waste, monitoring composting activities, and ensuring that all procedures follow safety and environmental standards. The supervisor coordinates yard staff, allocates tasks, and supervises the use of heavy equipment and machinery.

The role involves maintaining records of incoming materials and finished compost, monitoring product quality,



and reporting operational status to management.

Supervisor also collaborates with other PUVI teams to support bulk waste management projects and continuous improvement in yard operations.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills and experience in Yard Management to effectively oversee daily operations and guide team members.
- Candidates should possess practical knowledge of Heavy Equipment and Forklift Operation to safely manage machinery used in composting and material handling.
- Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills to coordinate with staff, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess basic understanding of composting processes, waste management practices, and environmental sustainability principles.
- Relevant experience in waste management, recycling, or industrial yard operations is beneficial.
- Ability to work in office in Chennai, perform hands-on tasks, and adhere to safety and environmental regulations.
- Basic computer skills for record keeping and reporting; prior experience in a supervisory role is an advantage.
