Role Description The CMM Engineer role at KUMBHAR INDUSTRIES is a full time position based in Vadodara with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some tasks to be carried out from home. The CMM Engineer will perform day-to-day measurement and inspection activities using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure parts and components meet required specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities typically include preparing and executing CMM programs, interpreting engineering drawings, documenting inspection results, and collaborating with production and quality teams to resolve dimensional issues. The role may also involve maintaining CMM equipment, supporting root cause analysis for non-conformances, and contributing to process improvements in measurement and quality control.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong knowledge of CMM operation, programming, and inspection techniques, including familiarity with common CMM software tools.
- Candidates should possess skills in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and using precision measuring instruments.
- Candidates should possess abilities in quality assurance and control, including documentation of inspection reports, handling non-conformances, and supporting corrective actions.
- Candidates should possess basic computer literacy and data analysis skills to manage measurement data, prepare summaries, and communicate findings clearly.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with production, design, and quality teams in a hybrid work environment.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field is beneficial.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, especially with dimensional inspection or metrology, is advantageous.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to safety and quality standards are important for success in this role.
