Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Civil Surveyor role based in Chennai.

The Civil

Surveyor will perform field surveys, collect measurements, and verify site levels and boundaries for real estate and construction projects.

Responsibilities include operating survey instruments, preparing survey reports and drawings, and coordinating with engineers, site managers, and other project stakeholders to ensure accurate data for planning and execution. The role involves checking layouts, monitoring site progress against survey data, and assisting in resolving discrepancies between design plans and actual site conditions.

Surveyor will also support compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and relevant regulations while maintaining organized records of all survey activities.

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of land surveying principles, civil engineering basics, and construction site practices.
- Ability to operate common surveying equipment (e.g., total station, GPS, auto level) and interpret survey drawings.
- Proficiency in relevant software such as CAD tools and basic office productivity applications for reporting and documentation.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with site teams, engineers, and management.
- Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and problem-solving skills in identifying and resolving survey-related issues.
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field; professional certifications in surveying are an advantage.
- Prior experience as a surveyor or civil site professional, preferably in real estate or construction projects in urban settings.
- Commitment to health and safety standards and the ability to work on-site in varying outdoor conditions.
