City Lead – Operations Rotto | Bengaluru (with travel to launch cities) | Full-time

About Rotto Rotto is building a full-stack doorstep and hub-based car care platform — in-house mechanics, OEM-grade quality at local-garage prices, and an AI diagnostics layer as the core moat. Backed by prominent angels and funds, we're expanding zone by zone on a doorstep-first, capital-light model, with hubs layered in once density is proven.

The Role We're looking for a City Lead – Ops who has actually done the 1→10 journey before — someone who has taken a raw, unproven city/zone operation and turned it into a repeatable, profitable engine. This is not a maintain-and-optimize role. It's a build-from-scratch role: you'll own everything from mechanic hiring and training to job density, SLA adherence, and unit economics in your zone.

You'll be the single point of accountability for making Rotto's doorstep model work on the ground — treating the zone like your own P&L.;

What You'll Own

- Launch & scale a zone end-to-end — from first job to a fully productive, self-sustaining operation
- Mechanic supply: sourcing, hiring, onboarding, and ramping technicians to full productivity (jobs/day/tech)
- Operational density: driving job density per zone, tightening technician utilization and routing
- Unit economics ownership: tracking and improving weeks-to-productive ramp, jobs/day/tech, cost per job, and doorstep-to-hub overflow signals
- Quality & SLA: ensuring proof-of-repair compliance, customer satisfaction, and rework rates stay within target
- On-ground problem solving: fixing breakdowns in supply, scheduling, parts availability,



or customer experience in real time
- Feedback loop to product/central ops: flagging what's broken in tooling, catalogue, or process, and pressure-testing assumptions before they scale citywide
- Building the playbook: codifying what works in your zone so it can be replicated in the next one

What We're Looking For
- Proven 1→10 builder — you've taken an ops function, city, or business unit from nothing/early-stage to a working, scaled system (ideally in hyperlocal services, quick commerce, mobility, D2C ops, or similar on-ground-heavy businesses)
- Comfortable with ambiguity and a high degree of ownership — no playbook exists yet; you write it
- Strong bias for action and ground-level presence — this is not a desk job; you'll be in the field with mechanics and customers regularly
- Analytical enough to run your zone on numbers (density, utilization, cost per job), not just instinct
- Experience managing/mobilizing a blue-collar or gig workforce is a strong plus
- Founder-mindset — thinks like an owner, not an operator executing someone else's plan

- A documented, repeatable playbook that the next city lead can pick up and run with
