Role Description The Business Head for the Cost Management Vertical will lead the cost management function, overseeing strategy, operations, and team performance for projects across SYConE’s portfolio. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Bengaluru Area. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and implementing cost management frameworks, reviewing project budgets and estimates, and ensuring cost controls are aligned with client requirements and organizational objectives.

The role involves collaborating with project management, finance, and sales teams to create value-driven proposals, monitor profitability, and support business growth.

Head will engage with clients to understand commercial expectations, provide cost-related insights, address queries, and maintain strong relationships, while mentoring and developing the cost management team to uphold high standards of delivery.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills to interpret project data, evaluate cost drivers, and support strategic decision-making.
- Solid finance and commercial acumen, including experience with budgeting, cost estimation, cost control, and profitability analysis.
- Proven team management capabilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams, setting performance goals, and fostering collaboration.
- Customer service orientation, with the ability to manage client expectations, respond to queries, and build long-term relationships.
- Sales and business development skills, including experience in supporting proposals, contributing to pricing strategies, and driving revenue growth.
- Relevant experience in cost management within construction, infrastructure, EPC, or real estate project environments.
- Robust communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex cost insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Quantity Surveying, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or professional certification in cost management or project management is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Bengaluru Area and collaborate effectively with regional and international teams.
