Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Officer role based in Jhunjhunu.

The Business Development

Officer will identify and pursue new business opportunities, including microfinance and MSME clients, while building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective customers. Daily tasks include conducting market research, assessing client needs, explaining financial products, and guiding customers through the application and onboarding process. The role also involves monitoring portfolio performance, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, and collaborating with branch and regional teams to meet growth and quality targets.





The Business Development

Officer will provide high-quality customer service, collect feedback from the field, and contribute to local outreach and financial literacy initiatives.

Qualifications

- Strong New Business Development and client acquisition skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and convert leads into long-term relationships.
- Solid Analytical Skills and basic Finance knowledge to assess customer creditworthiness, evaluate business potential, and interpret portfolio data.
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal abilities to explain financial products clearly, build trust, and engage with diverse customer groups.
- Customer Service orientation, with a focus on responsiveness, empathy, and consistent follow-through in a grassroots, field-based workplace.
- Relevant experience in microfinance, MSME lending, retail banking, or financial services in rural or semi-urban markets is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Jhunjhunu, travel locally as needed, and collaborate effectively with branch and regional teams.
- Minimum educational qualification of a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and comfort with digital tools for customer onboarding, reporting, and communication.
