About the Role

If you're a Business Analyst who's tired of being boxed into requirement documents and status decks, this role is built differently. At Techylla, you'll sit at the rare intersection of SAP SD functional expertise, data engineering fundamentals, and sharp business acumen — owning the full journey from how a sales order is created in SAP to how it becomes a trusted number on an executive's BI dashboard.

This is not a traditional BA role, and that's the point. You'll be the one person in the room who can speak fluently with SAP SD consultants, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders — translating between them, not just relaying messages. You'll gain rare, hybrid expertise that sits at the intersection of two of the hottest skill areas in enterprise IT: SAP and modern data platforms — a combination that's genuinely hard to find and even harder to build elsewhere.

The ideal candidate combines a solid grip on SAP SD (Order-to-Cash) processes — Order Management, Pricing, Billing, Credit Management, and integration with MM/PP/FI-CO/WM — with hands-on comfort in SQL, ETL/ELT concepts, and cloud data platforms. You'll own end-to-end data flows: from understanding how a sales transaction lands in an SAP table, to validating that it surfaces correctly in a downstream data lake, data warehouse, or BI dashboard.

Must-Have Qualifications

1. Work Experience

- Overall experience: Minimum 12–15 years of relevant professional experience spanning business analysis, SAP SD, and/or data engineering domains.

2. SAP SD & Cross-Module Business Process Expertise

- Order-to-Cash process knowledge: Order Management, Pricing (Pricing Procedures, Condition Records), Billing, Credit & Debit Management, Returns, and Rebates
- SD tables and objects: Familiarity with key SAP tables and field-level details relevant to sales documents
- Cross-module integration awareness: Understanding how SD interacts with MM, PP, WM, FI/CO, and TM to ensure consistent business and data flow
- SAP data extraction methods: Basic working knowledge of BAPIs, IDocs, CDS Views, and ODP (Operational Data Provisioning)
- Master data concepts: Familiarity with Customer Master, Material Master, and Pricing/Condition Master data and how they flow into analytics layers
- ECC and S/4HANA awareness: Understanding of landscape differences and S/4HANA innovations (Fiori, Embedded Analytics) relevant to SD reporting

Data Engineering Fundamentals (Preferred, Core Differentiator)

- ETL/ELT pipeline architecture: Strong conceptual and working knowledge, including the ability to read, review, and validate transformation logic
- Data flow understanding: From source through ingestion, transformation, and serving layers
- Data modelling proficiency: Star schema, snowflake schema, dimensions vs. facts, and the ability to translate SAP SD data structures into data warehouse models
- Cloud data platforms: Familiarity with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS), and conceptual understanding of Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, or Apache Spark-based processing

4. SQL & Data Analysis

- Advanced SQL proficiency: Writing complex queries against SAP tables, data warehouses, and data lake layers
- Data exploration, profiling, and validation through SQL
- Reconciliation queries to compare SAP SD source data with downstream BI or reporting outputs

5. Agile & Delivery Methodology

- Scrum methodology: Strong hands-on knowledge of daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming
- Writing well-defined user stories with clear acceptance criteria
- Estimating story points and tracking sprint velocity
- Tools: Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence, with SQA adherence for all sprint deliverables

6. Data Quality & Validation

- UAT data validation ownership: Validate data accuracy between SAP SD source systems and target data platforms (Data Lake / DWH)
- Define and execute data quality test cases as part of sprint deliverables
- Reconciliation of SAP SD reports vs. BI / analytics outputs

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Informatics, MCA, MBA, or equivalent
- Experience working with S/4HANA environments and exposure to Fiori Apps, Embedded Analytics, or SAP BTP
- Experience working with multi-site global teams across time zones
- BI and data visualization tools: Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or Looker — specifically translating SAP SD data fields and business logic into report/dashboard requirements




- Project Management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) are a plus

Role & Responsibilities

- Act as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and Data Engineering teams — translating business needs into functional specifications and data pipeline requirements
- Support requirement gathering and functional specification for Order-to-Cash process changes, working alongside SAP SD consultants
- Lead data validation and reconciliation efforts — define test cases, execute UAT, and sign off on data quality across sprints
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business SMEs, and Scrum Masters to define requirements, write user stories, and deliver sprint artifacts
- Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies and take end-to-end accountability for sprint deliverables
- Map SAP data fields (master data and transactional) to downstream reporting models, identifying transformation logic and business rules
