BESS - Service Engineer BESS Service Engineer Location: Coimbatore Job Type: FTC /Direct Contract Job Summary The BESS Service Engineer is responsible for commissioning support, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and corrective maintenance of Battery Energy Storage Systems. The role involves working with battery systems, PCS/Inverters, MV/LV equipment, EMS/SCADA systems, HVAC, Fire Suppression Systems, and ensuring maximum system availability and safety.

Key Responsibilities Installation &

- Commissioning Support Support installation and commissioning of BESS projects. Perform pre-commissioning checks and site acceptance tests. Verify battery racks, PCS, transformers, switchgear, EMS, and auxiliary systems. Coordinate with EPC contractors, OEMs, and customers during commissioning.

Preventive Maintenance

Conduct routine inspection and preventive maintenance activities.

Check battery health parameters including: Cell Voltage String Voltage SOC SOH Temperature Insulation Resistance Inspect HVAC, fire protection, and safety systems. Prepare maintenance reports and service documentation.

Fault

Diagnosis &

- Troubleshooting Diagnose and rectify faults in:



Battery Packs BMS (Battery Management System) PCS/Inverter EMS SCADA MV/LV Switchgear Transformer Systems Analyze alarms and event logs. Coordinate with OEM technical teams for complex issues.

Performance Monitoring

Monitor plant performance remotely and on site. Analyze charging/discharging performance. Evaluate system efficiency and Round Trip Efficiency (RTE). Recommend corrective and optimization measures. Safety &

- Compliance Follow electrical safety standards and LOTO procedures. Ensure compliance with local regulations and OEM guidelines. Conduct toolbox talks and safety audits. Support incident investigations and root cause analysis (RCA).

Customer Support

Provide technical support to customers. Participate in warranty claim assessment. Conduct training for customer O&M; teams. Ensure SLAs and response times are met.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in: Electrical Engineering Electrical &

- Electronics Engineering Experience: 3-8 years of experience in: Same BESS /Similar industries.
