About the RoleWe are looking for a creative and commercially-minded Fashion / Bag Designer who understands how to design bags that are not only visually appealing but also practical, manufacturable and commercially successful.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience designing handbags, backpacks, duffel bags, travel bags, cosmetic bags, laptop bags, gifting bags or other fashion/lifestyle accessories.

This is a product-design role where you will be involved from concept → design → material selection → technical details → sampling → final product.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop recent and original bag designs across different categories, styles and price points.
- Create collections based on market trends, consumer preferences and commercial opportunities.
- Develop designs for handbags, backpacks, duffel bags, travel bags, cosmetic/toiletry bags, gifting bags and other lifestyle accessories.
- Create design sketches, detailed drawings, CADs and presentation concepts.
- Develop colourways, prints, patterns and material combinations.
- Select and work with different materials such as PU, polyester, nylon, canvas, cotton, leather/faux leather and other fabrics.
- Design and specify hardware, zippers, handles, straps, buckles, logos, labels, trims and other components.
- Prepare technical specifications / tech packs with measurements, construction details and material requirements.




- Work closely with the sampling and production teams to convert designs into actual physical samples.
- Review samples, identify design/construction issues and make necessary modifications.
- Ensure designs are commercially viable and manufacturable at scale.
- Research international and Indian bag/fashion trends and identify emerging styles, shapes, colours, materials and details.
- Maintain a strong understanding of competitive products and market trends.
- Work closely with merchandising, sourcing, sampling and production teams to take products from concept to production.
- Develop multiple design options and variations quickly while maintaining a strong design language.

What We Are Looking For
- 2–6 years of experience in bag/accessory/product design.
- Candidates with actual experience designing bags will be strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of bag construction and manufacturing.
- Good knowledge of materials, fabrics, trims, hardware and accessories used in bags.
- Ability to understand how a design will translate into a physical, manufacturable product.
- Strong sense of fashion, colour, proportion, functionality and aesthetics.
- Ability to create designs that are both creative and commercially relevant.




- Good understanding of current fashion and lifestyle trends.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and take a product from an initial idea through sampling.

Software SkillsGood working knowledge of one or more of the following:
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- CorelDRAW
- CLO 3D / other 3D design software
- CAD / technical drawing software

Strong hand-sketching ability will be an added advantage.

Most Important RequirementPlease apply only if you have relevant experience in designing bags, accessories or closely related lifestyle products.

We are particularly interested in designers who can show a strong portfolio of actual bag designs and products developed by them.
