Role Description The Associate Veterinarian is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. The individual in this role will provide high-quality medical care to companion animals, including conducting physical examinations, diagnosing conditions, recommending treatment plans, and performing routine procedures.

Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing patient histories, prescribing medications, advising pet caregivers on preventive care, and collaborating with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure smooth clinical operations.

Veterinarian will also participate in case discussions, maintain accurate medical records, and follow clinic protocols and regulatory guidelines. As part of the broader VetXplore network,



the role may involve contributing to client education initiatives and supporting efforts to enhance the clinic’s reputation and service standards.

Qualifications

- Professional veterinary qualification (BVSc or equivalent), valid veterinary registration, and clinical experience in small animal practice or internship experience.
- Strong skills in physical examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, and routine procedures such as vaccinations, minor surgeries, and laboratory test interpretation.
- Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with pet caregivers, explain medical information in accessible terms, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary clinical teams.
- Commitment to evidence-based medicine, continuous learning, and staying current with advances in veterinary care, diagnostics, and preventive health.
- High standards of ethical practice, attention to detail in medical record-keeping, and adherence to clinic policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced clinical environment, strong time-management skills, and readiness to participate in weekend or extended-hour schedules as required.
- Experience with veterinary practice management software and basic digital literacy; exposure to client education content or social media for clinics is an advantage.
