Role Description The Associate Lawyer will work full time on-site at TLAS PARTNERS LLP’s office in Varanasi, supporting senior attorneys in handling a variety of legal matters. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and reviewing legal documents, conducting legal research, preparing case briefs, and assisting in client consultations. The role involves coordinating with courts and other authorities, attending hearings under guidance, and helping manage case files and documentation.

The Associate

Lawyer will also contribute to legal strategy discussions, ensure timely follow-up on ongoing matters,



and maintain accurate records in line with firm policies. Collaboration with colleagues and transparent communication with clients and stakeholders are key components of this position.

Qualifications

- Strong legal research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret statutes, case law, and regulations.
- Proficiency in drafting and reviewing contracts, pleadings, notices, and other legal documents.
- Effective communication skills, including clear written and verbal expression and client-facing interaction.
- Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple matters, maintain case files, and meet deadlines.
- Professional ethics, attention to detail, and sound judgment in managing confidential information and sensitive issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in law (LL.B.) from a recognized institution; enrollment with the appropriate Bar Council.
- Familiarity with court procedures and litigation practice in India; prior internship or work experience in a law firm is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team, take initiative, and adapt to a fast-paced legal environment in Varanasi.
