About the Role

We are looking for passionate and academically strong Mathematics Faculty to teach and mentor students enrolled in the BTech CSE- AI and ML. The faculty member will be responsible for delivering concept-oriented lectures, conducting tutorials and practice sessions, solving IIT-level problems, and supporting students in their weekly assignments, quizzes and examinations.

The ideal candidate should have strong fundamentals in mathematics and the ability to explain mathematical concepts in a simple, structured and application-oriented manner.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach Mathematics 1 and Mathematics 2 as per the BTech/ BS curriculum.
- Conduct regular classroom lectures, tutorials and problem-solving sessions.
- Explain mathematical concepts from basic to advanced levels with appropriate examples.
- Cover weekly course content, including lectures, practice questions, assignments and examination preparation.
- Solve and discuss IIT-level practice questions, previous questions and graded assignments.
- Identify students' learning gaps and provide appropriate academic support.
- Conduct doubt-solving and revision sessions.
- Prepare additional worksheets, practice problems and learning material wherever required.
- Monitor student academic performance and provide timely feedback.
- Help students develop mathematical reasoning, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Coordinate with the Academic Coordinator regarding syllabus completion, student performance and academic planning.
- Maintain proper records of attendance, assessments and academic progress.
- Support students during quizzes, examinations and other academic activities.

- Multivariable Calculus
- Partial Derivatives
- Multiple Integrals
- Vector Calculus
- Differential Equations
- Linear Algebra / Matrix Concepts, wherever included in the assigned IITM course
- Mathematical applications relevant to Data Science

The exact teaching content will follow the applicable IIT BS course structure and academic schedule.

Required Qualifications

- Master's degree in Mathematics / Applied Mathematics / Statistics / Data Science / Computer Science or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Strong mathematical fundamentals.
- Prior teaching experience at undergraduate level is preferred.
- Experience teaching students preparing for IIT, university or competitive examinations will be an advantage.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain complex mathematical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.

Preferred Profile Candidates with any of the following will be preferred:
- M.Sc./M.Tech./M.Phil./Ph.D. in Mathematics or related field
- IIT/NIT/IIIT/IISc or reputed university background
- Experience with Data Science-oriented mathematics
- Robust experience in calculus, linear algebra and mathematical problem solving
- Ability to develop high-quality practice material and problem sets

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
