Role Description The Assistant Professor will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses, preparing lesson plans, delivering lectures, and conducting tutorials and practical sessions in their area of specialization. Day-to-day tasks include mentoring students, supervising projects, evaluating assignments and examinations, and maintaining accurate academic records. The role also involves participating in curriculum development, engaging in research or scholarly activities, and contributing to departmental initiatives and institutional committees.

This is a full-time, in office position based in Chennai,



requiring regular presence on campus for classes, student consultations, and academic events.

Qualifications

- Postgraduate degree (e.g., M.E./M.Tech or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline from a recognized university; Ph.D. or ongoing doctoral work is an advantage.
- Strong subject-matter expertise in the chosen specialization, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and engage students in active learning.
- Demonstrated interest in academic research, publications, conferences, or industry-oriented projects in engineering or related fields.
- Effective communication, presentation, and classroom management skills, with a commitment to inclusive and learner-centered teaching.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues, contribute to departmental activities, and support accreditation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement processes.
- Proficiency in using educational technologies, learning management systems, and basic productivity tools for teaching and assessment.
- Familiarity with AICTE/University guidelines and academic regulations; prior teaching or industry experience will be considered an asset.
