Role Description The Assistant Manager Regulatory Open Access and Battery Energy Storage Systems is a full-time, on-site role based in Uttar Pradesh, India. This role involves managing regulatory compliances and approvals related to open access for solar and battery energy storage projects, including coordinating with state and central electricity regulatory bodies and distribution companies.

The position includes monitoring regulatory changes, analyzing their impact on existing and planned projects, and preparing documentation, applications, and reports required for regulatory submissions. The role also supports project teams by providing regulatory guidance, maintaining organized records of permissions and licenses, and ensuring timelines and conditions are met.

Manager collaborates cross-functionally with engineering, legal, finance,



and operations to align project execution with regulatory frameworks and support strategic planning for future solar and storage initiatives.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of power sector regulations, open access policies, and battery energy storage system guidelines in India.
- Experience in regulatory documentation, compliance tracking, and liaison activities with regulatory authorities, utilities, and government agencies.
- Analytical skills for interpreting regulations, assessing project impact, and preparing clear regulatory reports and briefs.
- Good communication and coordination skills for working with internal teams and external stakeholders, including regulators and partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Law, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification in power or regulatory studies is an advantage.
- Familiarity with renewable energy project development, especially solar and battery storage systems, and an interest in clean energy transition.
- Ability to work in office, manage multiple regulatory tasks simultaneously, and maintain accuracy in documentation and compliance records.
- Proficiency in standard office software and tools for data analysis, documentation, and reporting; exposure to regulatory portals or MIS systems is beneficial.
