RANNG is looking for a Designer cum Merchandiser who can independently manage garment development from the initial client brief and design stage through sampling, fittings, approvals and final production handover.

We are looking for someone who combines creative design ability with strong garment technical knowledge and merchandising execution.

Key Responsibilities:

- Handle domestic and international client requirements
- Understand client briefs and translate them into commercially suitable garment designs
- Create garment concepts, colourways, presentations and design options for client approvals
- Use AI-assisted design tools such as ChatGPT and other generative/design platforms to develop concepts, garment visuals, presentations and design iterations efficiently
- Coordinate closely with pattern masters and sampling teams
- Conduct garment fittings and ensure correct patterns, measurements, proportions, fit and construction
- Manage the complete sampling process, approvals and production handover
- Possess strong knowledge of fabric qualities, GSM, composition, performance and end-use suitability
- Source appropriate fabrics, trims and accessories from reliable suppliers
- Coordinate with fabric vendors, production,



sourcing and quality teams
- Maintain development timelines and ensure timely sample submissions to clients
- Follow developments from concept stage through final approved sample and production readiness

Candidate Requirements:

- 3–4 years of relevant experience in the garment/apparel industry
- Strong understanding of garment construction, patterns, fits and measurements
- Strong knowledge of fabrics, GSM, compositions, finishes and performance characteristics
- Hands-on experience in fabric, trim and accessory sourcing
- Good aesthetic sense and ability to develop commercially relevant garment designs
- Proficiency in using ChatGPT and AI/design tools for garment designing, visualisation, ideation and presentation development
- Good communication, coordination and client-handling skills
- Organised, creative, proactive and technically sound
- Comfortable working in a rapid-paced, development-driven environment
- Experience in uniforms, hospitality, aviation, corporate wear or workwear will be preferred
