About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Android Developer Intern to join the CRUD — Software & Cloud team at Vaigai Valley. You will work on our Android/mobile platform for connecting smartphones with ESP32, IoT devices, embedded systems, robotics platforms, and hardware projects.

This internship is ideal for students and aspiring developers who want hands-on experience building real-world Android applications that interact with physical hardware.

What You Will Work On

- Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java .
- Build mobile interfaces for IoT, embedded, robotics, and hardware-control applications.
- Implement Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication with ESP32 and other devices.
- Work with Wi-Fi, HTTP, REST APIs, and WebSocket communication.
- Develop real-time dashboards for sensor data and device status.
- Implement device-control interfaces for GPIO, motors, relays, LEDs, servos, and other peripherals.
- Work with Nordic UART Service (NUS) for BLE-based device communication.
- Integrate QR-based device pairing and configuration workflows.
- Implement offline-first application features and local data storage.
- Debug Android applications and hardware communication issues.
- Collaborate with embedded, IoT, web, and robotics developers.
- Test applications with real ESP32 and IoT hardware.

Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of Android development .
- Familiarity with Kotlin or Java .
- Understanding of Android Studio and Gradle.
- Basic understanding of:
- Android Activities/Fragments or modern Android architecture
- REST APIs
- JSON
- Bluetooth/BLE
- Wi-Fi networking
- Git/GitHub




- Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Willingness to work with both software and physical hardware .
