Role & responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

- Create, review, and post accounting vouchers in the ERP system.
- Pass journal, payment, receipt, purchase, sales, and adjustment entries.
- Verify supporting documents before posting entries.
- Maintain the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
- Ensure proper accounting treatment as per company policies and accounting standards.

2. GST Compliance

- Record GST-related accounting entries for purchases, sales, advances, credit notes, debit notes, and expenses.
- Verify GST compliance of vendor invoices.
- Reconcile Input Tax Credit (ITC) with GST returns and books of accounts.

3. Income Tax & TDS Compliance

- Pass TDS accounting entries on payments and provisions.
- Verify applicability of TDS under various sections of the Income Tax Act.
- Reconcile TDS payable and receivable accounts.
- Assist in preparation of TDS returns and issuance of TDS certificates.
- Support tax audits and statutory compliance activities.

4. Verification & Reconciliation

- Reconcile vendor, customer, bank,



and inter-company accounts.
- Reconcile GST, TDS, and other statutory ledgers.
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Ensure monthly closure activities are completed within timelines.

5. Reporting & Documentation

- Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Assist in preparation of MIS reports and schedules.
- Support internal and statutory audits by providing required information.
- Ensure proper filing and record keeping of financial documents.

Skills and Qualifications

- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in bank reconciliation and report preparation.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
