We are looking for a qualified CMA professional who has a strong interest in academic product development, writing, teaching and student mentoring and would like to build a career at the intersection of finance, education and learning-product development.
Role Summary The Academic Product Developer – Finance will primarily contribute to the research, development and quality assurance of high-quality finance and accounting learning products.
The role will involve developing books, study materials, flashcards, question banks, assessments, mock examinations, case studies, revision resources, videos and digital learning materials.
The candidate will also have opportunities to teach and mentor students pursuing professional finance qualifications and university programs.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Product & Content Development
- Research, write, develop and review books, study materials, flashcards, question banks, mock examinations, case studies and revision resources.
- Develop academically rigorous content in accounting, finance and CMA-related subjects.
- Convert complex finance and accounting concepts into clear, structured and student-friendly learning content.
- Develop assessments and question banks across different levels of difficulty and cognitive complexity.
- Research and contribute to new learning products, content formats and innovative approaches to finance education.
- Review existing academic materials for technical accuracy, clarity,
consistency and instructional quality.
- Support the development of digital learning resources, LMS content, videos, assessments and other technology-enabled academic products.
- Use AI and digital tools appropriately for research, content development, review and academic-product workflows.
Teaching & Academic Delivery
- Teach selected topics in accounting, finance and CMA subjects.
- Conduct revision classes, workshops, doubt-clearing sessions and examination-preparation sessions.
- Support university-based academic programs and professional qualification programs.
- Develop presentations, classroom exercises, numerical problems, cases and other teaching resources.
Student Mentoring
- Mentor students pursuing CMA and related finance qualifications.
- Guide students on examination preparation, study strategies and academic progress.
- Conduct individual and group mentoring sessions.
- Understand student learning challenges and use this feedback to improve academic products and learning resources.
Academic Research & Quality Assurance
- Research developments in accounting, finance, professional qualifications, assessment and learning methodologies.
- Ensure that academic products maintain high standards of technical accuracy and instructional quality.
- Participate in content reviews, proofreading and quality-control processes.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, faculty members and other academic professionals in developing and improving learning products.
Qualifications
Essential
- Qualified CMA – Mandatory
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Management or a related discipline.
- 0–3 years of relevant experience in academics, teaching, finance/accounting, professional education, content development or related areas.
Fresh CMA-qualified candidates with strong academic,
writing and communication capabilities are encouraged to apply. Key Skills & Competencies
