Role: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O;) Technical

Key Responsibilities

n

1. Application Development

n

n
- Design, develop, customize, and maintain Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O;) solutions based on business requirements.
n
- Develop and customize solutions using X++, C#, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
n
- Develop customizations, extensions, workflows, forms, reports, and business logic in accordance with Microsoft best practices.
n
- Leverage AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Copilot to improve development productivity, code quality, troubleshooting, documentation, and solution development while adhering to organizational security and coding standards.
n
- Perform development and deployment activities across Development, Sandbox, and Production environments using Lifecycle Services (LCS).

2. Integration & Solution Design

n

n
- Develop and maintain integrations between D365 F&O; and third-party applications using APIs, OData, Azure Logic Apps, and Microsoft Power Platform.
n
- Design scalable, secure, and reliable technical solutions in collaboration with functional consultants and business analysts.
n
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
n
- Prepare and maintain technical design documents, development specifications, and other relevant technical documentation.
n
- Ensure solutions follow Microsoft development standards, best practices, and security guidelines.
n

3. Performance,



Testing & Production Support

n

n
- Monitor and optimize application performance and troubleshoot technical issues to improve system efficiency.
n
- Perform unit testing, code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
n
- Support QA, UAT, deployment, and release activities.
n
- Provide production support, including bug fixes, issue resolution, enhancements, and system maintenance.
n
- Investigate root causes of technical issues and implement appropriate corrective and preventive solutions.
n

4. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

n

n
- Work closely with Project Managers, Functional Consultants, Business Analysts, QA teams, and other technical teams to deliver solutions within defined timelines.
n
- Participate in technical discussions, solution reviews, and project planning activities.
n
- Stay updated with the latest developments in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure, and AI-powered development technologies.
n
- Identify opportunities to improve existing processes, applications, integrations, and development practices.
n
- Follow organizational security policies and ensure compliance with data security, access control, and development standards.
n

Qualifications

n

Experience

n

n
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations development.
n
- Robust hands-on experience with X++ and D365 F&O; development and customization.
n
- Experience with C#, Power Apps, Power Automate, APIs, OData, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure DevOps/Git.
n
- Hands-on experience integrating D365 F&O; with third-party applications and external systems.
n
- Experience with LCS, deployment processes, debugging, testing, and production support.
n
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or similar tools is preferred.
n

Technical Skills

n

n
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations architecture, customization, extensions, and development best practices.
n
- Good understanding of Dataverse, SQL Server, Power BI, Microsoft Power Platform, and Azure services.
n
- Knowledge of integration patterns, REST APIs, OData, and data exchange mechanisms.
n
- Good understanding of Azure DevOps, Git, source control, and CI/CD practices.
n
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
n
- Ability to develop secure, scalable, maintainable, and high-performance technical solutions.
n

Education

n

n
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
n
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications such as MB-500 or relevant Microsoft certifications are preferred.
