Job Summary

n

We are looking for a Streamlit Developer / Jr. Data Scientist with strong experience in Python, SQL, Snowflake, and Streamlit to support the development and maintenance of internal business applications. The role will focus on building multi-page Streamlit applications, developing interactive data components, writing and optimizing SQL queries against Snowflake, integrating data science model outputs into user-friendly applications, deploying applications across environments, and troubleshooting production issues.

Must-Have Skills

n

n
- 2+ years of professional experience building data applications using Python.
n
- Solid hands-on experience with Streamlit and the ability to independently build and structure Streamlit applications.
n
- Strong SQL skills, including joins, window functions, and aggregations over large tables.
n
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake.
n
- Strong experience with the Python data stack, particularly pandas.
n
- Experience building multi-page Streamlit applications.
n
- Experience developing interactive data tables, editable inputs, pivot views, timeframe selectors, and metric cards.
n
- Understanding of Streamlit session state, caching, layout, and application performance.
n
- Experience deploying and migrating Streamlit applications across environments.
n
- Experience debugging production issues related to serialization, caching, session state, and performance.
n
- Experience with Git and standard code review practices.
n
- Ability to work independently from written requirements and effectively communicate when requirements need clarification.

- Experience with PySpark.

- Experience working with Databricks.

- Experience with e-commerce, retail, or CPG data.

- Experience demoing applications to non-technical business stakeholders.

- Experience working closely with Data Scientists to integrate model outputs into business applications.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Build and maintain multi-page Streamlit applications used by internal business teams.
n
- Develop application pages, tables, filters, charts, and interactive calculators on top of Snowflake data.
n
- Write SQL queries against Snowflake to power application views and optimize queries for improved page performance.
n
- Build interactive components such as filterable data tables, editable inputs that trigger recalculation, pivot views, custom timeframe selectors, and metric cards.
n
- Work closely with Data Scientists to transform model outputs into intuitive and user-friendly applications for non-technical stakeholders.
n
- Deploy and migrate Streamlit applications across different environments.
n
- Debug and resolve production issues, including serialization errors, caching behavior, session state issues, and performance challenges with large result sets.
n
- Apply appropriate Streamlit session state and caching techniques to ensure reliable application behavior.
n
- Participate in Git-based development and standard code review processes.
n
- Work from written requirements with minimal supervision and proactively communicate any gaps or concerns in requirements.
n
- Support application enhancements and maintenance based on business user needs.
n

Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
n
- Professional experience in Python-based data application development is required.
