Role Overview

ELBN SYS HR Consulting is hiring a SAP CX Commerce Cloud Consultant for one of our clients.

We are looking for an experienced SAP Commerce Cloud professional with strong expertise in SAP CX, SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris), Java/Spring development and S/4HANA integrations.

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, power users, functional consultants and technical teams to design, develop and support scalable SAP Commerce solutions.

This role requires a strong combination of solution architecture, hands-on development, integration and production support experience within complex SAP environments.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

• Translate business requirements into scalable SAP Commerce Cloud solution architectures.

• Design data models, service layers and integration patterns across SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP S/4HANA, Sales Cloud and other enterprise applications.

• Recommend appropriate technical solutions based on scalability, performance and maintainability requirements.

• Contribute to overall SAP CX architecture and technology roadmaps.

SAP Commerce Development & Configuration

• Design and develop custom SAP Commerce Cloud extensions using Java, Spring, J2EE and SAP Commerce APIs.

• Configure and customize SAP Commerce functionality based on business requirements.

• Work across key SAP Commerce modules including PCM, OMS, Smart Edit and Backoffice.

• Implement composable and headless storefront solutions using Spartacus and modern front-end frameworks.

• Optimize application performance through caching, code profiling, database tuning and load testing.

Integration

• Design and develop integrations between SAP Commerce Cloud and SAP S/4HANA, SAP Sales Cloud and other SAP/non-SAP applications.

• Develop and consume integrations using OData, REST APIs, SOAP services and SAP CPI/PO.

• Design reliable integration patterns for upstream and downstream enterprise systems.

• Ensure integrations are scalable, secure and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

Testing & Quality

• Lead unit, integration and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.

• Develop automated test suites to improve quality and regression coverage.

• Troubleshoot technical defects and coordinate fixes across development and integration teams.





• Support performance and load-testing activities.

Production Support & Optimization

• Troubleshoot production issues and perform detailed root-cause analysis.

• Implement permanent fixes, performance improvements and technical enhancements.

• Monitor application health using logs, metrics and system-monitoring tools.

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across the SAP Commerce landscape.

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

• Produce comprehensive technical documentation including architecture diagrams, API specifications, configuration guides and operational runbooks.

• Conduct knowledge-transfer sessions for technical teams and business stakeholders.

• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on SAP Commerce Cloud development best practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with SAP functional consultants across SD, MM and FI/CO, as well as UX/UI, Dev Ops and business teams.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, technical discussions and release planning.

• Engage with business and power users to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

SAP Commerce Cloud

• 8+ years of overall software/SAP development experience.

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) implementation experience.

• Strong experience with SAP Commerce modules including:

- PCM
- OMS
- Smart Edit
- Backoffice
- SAP Commerce Integration APIs

Java & Application Development

• Strong hands-on expertise in Java 8+, Spring Framework and J2EE.

• Experience with multi-threading and application performance optimization.

• Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture and design patterns.

Front-End / Composable Commerce

• Experience with Spartacus and headless/composable storefront architecture.

• Exposure to Angular and/or React.

• Understanding of modern API-driven commerce architectures.

Integration





• Strong experience with:

- OData
- REST APIs
- SOAP Web Services
- SAP CPI / PO

• Experience integrating SAP Commerce Cloud with SAP S/4HANA and other enterprise platforms.

Database & Performance

• Strong SQL knowledge including database tuning and indexing.

• Experience implementing caching strategies using technologies such as Ehcache and Redis.

• Experience with application profiling and performance optimization.

Dev Ops

• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or Git Lab CI.

• Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes environments.

• Understanding of modern deployment and release-management practices.

SAP Experience

• Strong understanding of the SAP CX suite, particularly SAP Commerce Cloud and SAP Sales Cloud.

• Good understanding of SAP S/4HANA SD processes and integration points.

• Experience with at least 2 full S/4HANA implementations and 2 rollout projects is preferred.

• Experience working within complex SAP transformation programs.

Preferred Certifications

• SAP Commerce Cloud certification – C_C4HDEV or equivalent/current certification.

• SAP S/4HANA Sales/SD certification or equivalent.

• Relevant SAP CX or SAP BTP certifications would be an advantage.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.

Ideal Candidate

We are particularly interested in candidates who combine deep hands-on SAP Commerce Cloud development expertise with strong S/4HANA integration experience.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable moving between architecture/design discussions and hands-on technical delivery, rather than operating purely as a functional or coordination consultant.
