Technical Product Manager – Energy Technology
Location: India – Remote
Employment Type: Full-time
Experience: 5 years in Product Management
Compensation: ₹30–35 LPA CTC
Employer: Tryfecta Management Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
About the Role
Tryfecta Management Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Technical Product Manager to work closely with an Australian technology company developing innovative digital solutions for the energy and industrial sectors.
This is a hands-on Product Management role for someone who can understand complex customer problems, translate them into product opportunities, make informed prioritisation decisions and work closely with engineering and technical teams to deliver valuable products.
The role involves working with an international team and requires strong ownership, independent thinking and the ability to operate effectively in a technically complex environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand customer needs and business problems through customer conversations, research and product data.
- Translate customer problems into clearly defined product opportunities.
- Develop and communicate product vision, strategy and roadmap.
- Own product priorities and make informed trade-offs between customer value, business impact and technical feasibility.
- Define MVPs and determine what should and should not be included in a release.
- Prepare clear product requirements, PRDs, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with engineering and technical teams throughout product development.
- Collaborate with UI/UX and other stakeholders to create practical and intuitive product experiences.
- Use data, analytics and product metrics to evaluate product performance and outcomes.
- Identify appropriate opportunities for AI, data analytics, automation and real-time data within products.
- Understand technical constraints sufficiently to have meaningful discussions with engineers and make sound product decisions.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate product decisions clearly.
- Continuously gather customer and market feedback and use it to improve the product.
- Contribute to longer-term product planning while maintaining focus on near-term customer value.
The Product Environment The products you will work with operate in technically complex energy and industrial environments involving areas such as:
- Real-time operational data
- Digital platforms
- Data analytics
- Artificial intelligence
- Automation
- Remote monitoring and operations
- Engineering and industrial applications
You do not need to be an oil & gas or drilling engineer.
However, you should be comfortable learning a complex technical domain and working with engineers, technical specialists and industry customers.
Essential Requirements
Candidates should have
- 5 years of genuine Product Management experience.
- Experience owning or significantly influencing a product, product area or product roadmap.
- Experience with B2B, enterprise, SaaS, industrial technology or other technically complex products.
- Demonstrated experience in customer discovery and problem identification.
- Experience developing product strategy, vision and roadmap.
- Robust experience in product prioritisation and making product trade-offs.
- Experience working directly with software engineering or technical teams.
- Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate effectively with engineers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, international environment.
Highly Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following areas will be an advantage:
- Oil & Gas
- Energy Technology
- Drilling / Well Construction
- Directional Drilling
- Geosteering
- MWD / LWD
- Digital Oilfield
- Industrial Technology
- IoT
- Real-time Data Platforms
- AI / Machine Learning

Candidates whose experience is mainly limited to:
- Project coordination
- Scrum ceremony management
- Jira/backlog administration

- Preparing status reports
- Coordinating development teams without owning product decisions
are unlikely to be suitable.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate actual product ownership and product judgement.
What We Value

- Starts with the customer problem, not the feature.
- Is comfortable challenging assumptions.
- Can prioritise when everything appears important.
- Can explain why something should NOT be built.
- Is comfortable making decisions with incomplete information.
- Can work effectively with strong technical teams.
- Uses data to make and evaluate decisions.

- Takes ownership of product outcomes rather than simply managing delivery.

Location: India – Remote
Employment: Full-time The role involves collaboration with an international team and may require reasonable overlap with Australian working hours when required.
