Role DescriptionWe are looking for a Startup Incorporation & Compliance Consultant — India to help establish Optara Labs.

This is a project-based consulting engagement and can be performed remotely from anywhere in India.

The consultant will help us navigate the incorporation process, determine an appropriate company and founder structure, coordinate required filings and registrations, and advise us on the initial compliance requirements for operating in India.

We are particularly interested in someone who understands the broader Indian startup ecosystem and can help us establish the company correctly from the beginning.

Responsibilities

- Guide and support incorporation of an Indian Private Limited Company
- Advise on founder, director, shareholding, and entity structure




- Coordinate MCA and other required registrations and filings
- Assist with DPIIT / Startup India recognition
- Advise on initial tax, banking, and statutory compliance requirements
- Help identify relevant startup programs, incubators, grants, and government funding opportunities

Qualifications
- Prior experience helping startups incorporate in India
- Strong understanding of Indian corporate incorporation and compliance
- Familiarity with MCA, DPIIT, Startup India, and related processes
- CA, CS, startup lawyer, or experienced startup incorporation consultant preferred
- Experience working with technology startups is a plus
- Experience advising founders based outside India is a strong plus
- Explicit communicator who can explain options, trade-offs, timelines, and costs to founders
