Numiq is a global financial services firm delivering institutional-grade financial services, accounting, and reporting to enterprises across North America, Europe, and APAC. We integrate with client organizations as embedded finance partners — from deal diligence to ongoing reporting operations. We are looking for a meticulous, client-aware Staff Accountant to support ongoing accounting engagements across our global client portfolio. You will own day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, and month-end close workflows — operating as an embedded extension of client finance teams, following documented SOPs, and delivering within Numiq's three-layer quality control framework.

This is a freelance/contract engagement. Scope, timelines, and fees are agreed per project or retainer. High performers are retained on a preferred-vendor basis for ongoing work.

What You'll Work On

- General ledger maintenance, journal entries, and chart of accounts management across multiple client entities
- AP/AR processing — invoice management, payment runs, collections follow-up, and aging reports
- Bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations on weekly and monthly cycles
- Month-end close execution — accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and cut-off adjustments




- Trial balance preparation and support in producing management account packs (P&L;, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Client communication — flagging anomalies, resolving queries, and maintaining clear documentation trails

What We're Looking For

- Previous accounting experience — offshore/BPO, public accounting, or in-house finance
- Proficiency in at least one cloud accounting platform: QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Zoho Books — required
- Solid grasp of double-entry bookkeeping, accrual accounting, and the month-end close process
- Clean, documented work output — every entry traceable, every reconciliation signed off
- Strong written English for client-facing communication; professional and concise
- Ability to manage multiple client workstreams simultaneously without dropping accuracy
- B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance; semi-qualified CA, CMA, or ACCA preferred
- Candidates based out of Chandigarh/Mohali will be a plus
