Spare Parts In-Charge — Job Profile A Spare Parts In-Charge is responsible for managing the complete spare-parts inventory, ensuring the right parts are available when required, and maintaining proper stock control.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily receipt, storage, and issue of spare parts.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in DMS/ERP/software and stock registers.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and raise purchase/reorder requests.
- Coordinate with the Purchase, Maintenance, Production, and Stores departments.
- Identify fast-moving, slow-moving, and obsolete spare parts.
- Ensure proper labeling, coding, binning, and systematic storage of parts.
- Verify incoming spare parts against purchase orders, invoices, and specifications.
- Issue parts to maintenance/engineering teams against authorized requisitions.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain records of stock consumption, receipts, issues, and returns.
- Follow proper storage practices to prevent damage, rust, deterioration, or loss.
- Prepare inventory reports and provide stock-status information to management.
- Control inventory costs and avoid unnecessary overstocking.
- Follow company safety, quality, and documentation procedures.

Typical Qualifications
- Diploma/B.Tech/ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile, or a related field, depending on the industry.
- Experience in spare parts, stores, maintenance stores, or warehouse operations is generally preferred.
