About the job Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer II (SDE 2) to join our dynamic team and take a leading role in the development of software for satellite payloads. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing software solutions for satellite-based systems.

Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of software for satellite payloads, including communication protocols, data processing algorithms, and control systems. Architect scalable and robust software solutions that meet the performance and reliability requirements of satellite applications. Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software development practices.

Drive innovation and technical excellence by staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies. Contribute to architectural decisions, code reviews, and technical discussions to ensure the success of satellite payload projects. Work closely with hardware engineers to integrate software with hardware components and optimize system performance.

Requirements:



3+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on embedded systems or real-time applications. Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and Python. Robust understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and development best practices.

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), continuous integration, and deployment pipelines. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with satellite communication systems and protocols. Knowledge of digital signal processing techniques and algorithms. Familiarity with Linux-based development environments and real-time operating systems.

Experience with software testing methodologies and tools. Passion for space technology and a desire to make a positive impact on the future of satellite technology.
