Location: Chennai | Hyderabad | Coimbatore

We are looking for an experienced DB2 DBA (z/OS) to manage and support enterprise-grade database environments. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in DB2 administration, performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery, and database infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities:

n

Install, configure, and maintain DB2 databases on z/OS.

n

Manage database infrastructure, including instances, partitions, and clusters.

n

Design and implement High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HADR) solutions, clustering, and replication.

n

Perform database upgrades, fix packs, patch management, and version migrations.

n

Monitor database performance and optimize system resources for maximum efficiency.

n

Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

n

Troubleshoot complex database and system-level issues, performing root cause analysis.

n

Optimize memory, CPU, I/O, storage, and database configurations.

n

Collaborate with infrastructure teams for capacity planning and hardware sizing.

n

Automate DBA activities using scripting tools such as Shell, Python, or Perl.

n

Implement and maintain database security, including authentication, authorization,



and auditing.

n

Support production environments and participate in on-call support as required.

n

Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and best practices.

n

Required Skills:

n

n
- Strong experience with DB2 Database Administration on z/OS
n
- Expertise in database performance tuning and monitoring
n
- Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
n
- Knowledge of HADR, clustering, and replication technologies
n
- Scripting experience with Shell, Python, or Perl
n
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
n
- Understanding of database security and compliance requirements
n
