Role Overview Khaitan India Ltd. is looking for an energetic, target-oriented
Area Sales Manager (ASM)
to lead sales operations, distribution development, and revenue expansion across key Madhya Pradesh territories covering
Satna,
Indore and Jabalpur
clusters.
Mandatory Criteria:
This opening is strictly reserved for sales professionals with 10–12 years of solid experience in
Ceiling Fans, Home Appliances, and LED Lighting . Candidates must possess deep-rooted channel sales experience and an active network of electrical and appliance dealers/distributors. The selected candidate will take ownership of primary and secondary sales targets, lead the field sales team, enforce beat coverage, and aggressively scale retail presence across major wholesale markets and retail counters.
Key Responsibilities Target & Revenue Achievement:
Formulate and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plans to consistently achieve volume and value targets across fans, appliances, and LED lighting. Channel & Distribution Expansion:
Identify, appoint, and manage high-performing distributors, wholesalers, and retail networks across Indore, Jabalpur, and adjoining satellite towns (Ujjain, Dewas, Katni, etc.). Secondary Sales & Beat Discipline:
Enforce strict Permanent Journey Plans (PJP)



and beat adherence among Sales Officers/Territory Executives to maximize counter extraction and ensure healthy stock rotation. Commercial Hygiene & Collections:
Monitor distributor credit terms, ensure timely payment collections, manage account reconciliations, and maintain sustainable distributor ROI. Trade Activations & Visibility:
Implement dealer schemes, festive offers, electrician meets, and retail display branding to dominate shelf and counter space. Depot & Logistics Coordination:
Work closely with the local C&F; depot and logistics teams to forecast demand accurately, ensure timely order fulfillment, and prevent SKU stock-outs. Market Intelligence:
Track competitor moves, pricing trends, trade scheme margins, and new product launches across local electrical markets to provide regular feedback to senior management.
Candidate Profile Industry Experience:
10–12 years of hands-on channel sales experience strictly in
Ceiling Fans, Home Appliances, or LED Lighting . Applications from other industries will not be considered. Territory Knowledge:
Established distributor relationships and a thorough understanding of trade dynamics across
Indore, Jabalpur, and surrounding MP markets . Commercial Acumen:
Strong command over trade pricing structures, channel margins, scheme economics, and credit risk management. Team Leadership:
Proven track record of managing, motivating, and driving performance through on-ground field sales teams. Language Proficiency:
Fluency in
Hindi
is essential; positive working proficiency in
English
is required. Education:
Bachelor’s degree in any stream; an MBA/PGDM in Sales & Marketing is preferred.
