Job Description: Calypso Specialist Job Purpose: • Need to work as a Senior Technology Consultant in the capacity of Capital Market – Calypso Implementation Specialist in Capital Market core modernisation and migration projects. • Should exhibit deep experience in financial services during the client discussions and be able to convince the client on the solution. Technical Experience • Strong implementation experience in Calypso, particularly Version 14+ (preferred), across: o System configuration in trading, static data, settlement, and middle office modules. o Workflow design and exception handling. o Integration with upstream and downstream systems. • Hands on experience with: o Trade processing engines o Static and reference data frameworks o Interfaces, messaging standards (ISO15022/20022, FIX), and APIs • Experience working in Agile environments and contributing to functional & technical design workshops. Work Experience Requirements a. Functional Experience • 4 to 8 years of hands on experience in Capital Markets with robust exposure to Front to Back trade lifecycle. • Solid understanding of: o Securities trading, settlements, confirmations, reconciliation, and clearing. o Middle office processes including trade validation, enrichment, allocation, and reporting. o Regulatory reporting and compliance across capital markets. • Demonstrates experience interacting with business stakeholders, product controllers, operations, and risk teams. • Prior exposure to transformation, modernization, or migration programs in Capital Markets. 2. Mandatory Skills a. Functional Skills • Calypso platform expertise, including: o Calypso Securities Instance (CSI)



o Trade Representation & Processing o Static Data Configuration o Workflow creation & orchestration o Trade Validation & Enrichment logic o Loss & Claim Management module o Settlement Status Processing o Middle Office Reporting Framework o Block Allocation – Vinci SS1 enrichment o Archiving concepts and strategy • Ability to write and analyze SQL queries. • Good understanding of system integration, APIs (SOAP/REST), and messaging. • Ability to interpret technical logs, troubleshoot issues, and guide development teams. • Strong knowledge of financial instruments: o Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Listed & OTC Derivatives, Repos, and Structured Products. • Understanding of: o Trade lifecycle from booking to settlement o Risk factors, pricing inputs, and PnL drivers o Collateral management fundamentals o Treasury and liquidity processes • Experience in requirements gathering, gap analysis (OOTB vs. custom), and functional documentation. • Exposure to Agile delivery models (Scrum/Kanban). b. Technical Skills • Application and Solution (workflow, interface) technical design. • Business requirements, definition, analysis, and mapping. • Understanding of technology landscape and providing system configuration design in Market, Static and Reference data. • Knowledge of databases,



infrastructure, application servers, Technical Architecture, Security and Performance management. • Expertise in writing integration specifications and knowledge of Soap or Rest APIs. • One or more of following Tech skill categories: o Database skills – Able to write SQL queries of moderate complexity, o Programming/ Scripting skills: One of {Python, Java, C#} - able to write methods calling APIs o Experience in Cloud and CI/CD (Devops Automation environment) o Data Visualization – Dashboard analysis with Tableau, Power Bi 3. Preferred Work Location • This position offers flexibility to work from any EY GDS office in India 4. Education and Experience • MBA / MCA / BE / BTech or equivalent degree. • 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in Capital Markets, preferably within banking, investment banking, or financial technology domains.
