In our ‘always on’ world, we believe it’s essentialto have a genuine connection with the work youdo.We are seeking aSenior Embedded FirmwareEngineer to join our cable access engineeringteam, co-developing directly with our US-based systems architects,software and hardware teams.In this specialized role, youwill design and maintain firmware for next-generation Full Duplex(FDX) Cable Amplifiers and smart RF nodes. Rather than Ethernetswitching, your focus will be at the intersection of embeddedLinux, Broadcom broadband SoC platforms, dynamic RF control loops(AGC, tilt, gain), and up-to-date cable plant telemetry via gNMI,Protobuf, andMQTT.Howwill you help us connect the world:●Broadcom Cable SoC Integration: Develop low-level firmware usingBroadcom SDKs tailored for Broadband/Cable Access SoCs toinitialize, configure, and monitor digital/analog RF processinghardware.● RF Control & Signal Processing:Implement embedded control loops for Automatic Gain Control (AGC),Automatic Level Control (ALC), tilt adjustment, dynamic powermanagement, and echo cancellation in Full Duplex RF amplificationstages.● Hardware Interfacing & Bus Management: Controlon-board peripherals, RF attenuators, equalizers, power amplifiers,and environmental sensors over I2C, SPI, and GPIOinterfaces.● Linux Kernel & Low-Level DriverDevelopment: Write and maintain custom Linux kernel drivers,character devices, and user-space daemons interacting directly withhardware registers and memory-mapped I/O.● StreamingTelemetry & Remote Management: Architect modern out-of-bandmanagement and monitoring agents using gNMI (gRPC NetworkManagement Interface),



Protobuf (Protocol Buffers), JSON, and MQTTfor real-time health and RF performance metrics.● USCo-Development & Technical Collaboration: Actively participatein joint design reviews, code reviews, and architectural planningwith US-based firmware, RF hardware, and systems engineeringteams.● Hardware Bring-Up & Validation: Perform boardbring-up on custom Broadcom SoC evaluation boards and productionamplifier hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and RFspectrumanalyzers.RequiredQualifications:● Education: Bachelor’s orMaster’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, orequivalent experience.● Experience: Preferably5+ years of hands-on embedded software/firmware developmentexperience in modern C and C++.● Cable / RFDomain Knowledge: Solid understanding of RF fundamentals, dynamicsignal management, and Automatic Gain Control (AGC) control loopsin amplified RF transmission paths (e.g., DOCSIS / Cable TVplants).● Broadcom Broadband SoC & SDK:Hands-on experience developing with Broadcom SoCs and SDKs(broadband/RF access platforms) at the register and hardwareabstraction levels.● Embedded Linux & Bus Protocols:Deep experience with Embedded Linux driver development, Linuxnetworking internals,
