Application Electrical Hardware Engineer

n

Key responsibilities and authorities:

n

n
- Create electrical schematics based on core circuit blocks
n
- Maintain & own electrical schematic & components for assigned programs
n
- Create/maintain/modify Circuit Analysis and Design Documents
n
- Create/maintain/modify Circuit Test Plans, monitor testing activity and review test results
n
- Conduct ECU failure analysis to identify root cause using standard lab equipment and provide recommendations for corrective actions
n
- Review PCB layout and provide recommendation to assure integrity of electrical signals on the circuit Card Assembly
n
- Lead schematic review activities for assigned programs
n
- Interface with other functional groups to ensure integrity and accuracy of the design:
n
- Lead/support DFMEA activities for the Control Module Hardware
n

Acquired Technical Skills:

- Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) Design and Manufacturing Processes
n
- Printed Circuit Card (PCB) Design, Materials and Manufacturing Processes (via, layers, laminate, etc.
n
- Circuit Design (Schematic)
n
- Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) Layout design (eCAD)
n
- Electronic Components (Resistor, Capacitors, Inductors, FETs, etc)
n

n

Qualification Required (Education – Experience – Skills)

n

Master of Science or bachelor's in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering.

n

Robust skills in problem solving like Six Sigma

n

High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult

n

High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others

n

Ability to evaluate various technology alternatives to achieve project goals, especially design - process trade offs

n

Experience in design, manufacturing process and controls of mechanical gears

n

Strong understanding of mechanical systems, components, and applications.

n

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and software issues.
