About the role

n

Mitsu is looking to empanel Consultant Psychiatrists for our clinics in Andheri West and Khar West, Mumbai.

n

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside psychologists and care coordinators to provide high-quality, evidence-based outpatient psychiatric care.

n

We are looking for psychiatrists who are comfortable managing a broad range of adult mental health concerns, value collaborative care, and are interested in working within a structured clinical environment focused on continuity, quality and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

n

As a Consultant Psychiatrist at Mitsu, you will:

n

n
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up consultations
n
- Diagnose and manage a broad range of adult mental health conditions
n
- Develop appropriate treatment plans, including medication management where indicated
n
- Monitor treatment response, side effects and clinical progress over time
n
- Collaborate closely with psychologists and other members of the clinical team
n
- Maintain appropriate clinical documentation and follow Mitsu's clinical protocols
n
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and families where relevant
n
- Refer internally for psychotherapy, psychological assessment or other support when appropriate
n




- Participate in case discussions and clinical reviews where relevant
n

Eligibility

n

n
- MBBS + MD / DNB Psychiatry from a recognised institution
n
- Valid medical registration
n
- Minimum 5 years of post-MD/DNB clinical experience preferred
n
- Prior outpatient / clinic experience strongly preferred
n

n

Skills & Attributes

n

We are particularly interested in psychiatrists who demonstrate:

- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
n
- Sound knowledge of DSM-5 and ICD-11 frameworks
n
- Thoughtful and evidence-based prescribing practices
n
- Ability to manage common outpatient conditions including anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, mood disorders, sleep concerns and related conditions
n
- Good communication and patient-engagement skills
n
- Comfort collaborating with psychologists and other clinicians
n
- Openness to structured clinical protocols, documentation and peer discussion
n
- Interest in continuity of care rather than one-off consultations
n
- Professionalism, reliability and a patient-first approach
n

Consulting Arrangement & Compensation

n

This is a visiting consultant role, with clinic hours mutually agreed based on availability and patient demand.

n

Compensation will be structured on a per-consultation basis, commensurate with experience and clinical profile.
