Position: Plant Manager - Manufacturing Operations

Role Overview

n

We are looking for a dynamic, methodical, and process-driven leader with a proven record of setting up and improving factories, systems, and teams. The Plant Head will oversee all manufacturing operations, including:

- Production

- Maintenance

- Quality Assurance & Quality Control

- Dispatch

- Inventory & Warehouse

- Projects & Utilities

- Safety & Compliance

- Any other critical plant functions

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
- Oversee complete plant operations, including Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Warehouse, and Dispatch.
n
- Ensure smooth daily manufacturing flow with high output efficiency, minimal downtime, and timely order fulfilment.
n
- Build, upgrade, and enforce SOPs across all departments to ensure consistent, standardised operations.
n
- Strengthen quality systems to meet FSSAI, GMP, GHP, HACCP, and internal Pintola standards.
n
- Ensure strict compliance with all food safety, labour, environmental, and statutory regulations.
n
- Maintain excellent plant hygiene, documentation practices, audit readiness, and corrective action closures.
n
- Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure high machine uptime and reliability.
n
- Identify process bottlenecks, implement efficiency-driven solutions, and plan capacity enhancement.
n
- Lead and develop multi-level plant teams with focus on training,



performance culture, and accountability.
n
- Foster strong inter-department coordination for production planning, material management, and forecasting.
n
- Analyse operational MIS, daily/weekly dashboards, and present improvements to leadership.
n
- Support plant expansion projects, layout improvements, new line setups, and technology upgrades.
n
- Build a culture of safety, discipline, teamwork, and high performance across all plant functions.
n
- Manage plant budgets, cost controls, material consumption, and operational optimisation.
n
- Act as the key operational link between the plant and senior management.
n

Must Have

n

n
- Minimum 10 years of experience in FMCG/Food/Manufacturing operations.
n
- Master's degree in a relevant field (Engineering / Food Technology / Operations / Industrial Management preferred).
n
- Strong plant/operations leadership experience with multi-department management.
n
- Proven track record in setting up, improving, or scaling factories.
n
- Excellent knowledge of production planning, QA, maintenance, and safety systems.
n
- Strong communication skills, with dynamic and confident leadership presence.
n
- Highly structured, process-driven, disciplined, and proactive.
n

- Experience in high growth/rapid-moving brands.

- Experience with automation and modern production systems.
n
- Ability to manage large teams (100+ workforce).
n
- Strong understanding of compliance, audits, and food industry certifications.
