Role Overview
n
We are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Manager to drive new business, build strategic client relationships, and develop opportunities across Altre's commercial real estate solutions.
n
The role requires strong ownership across prospecting, lead generation, opportunity qualification, client engagement, solution development, commercial discussions, and closure. This is a client-facing role requiring strong communication, consultative selling, commercial acumen, and the ability to independently manage opportunities through the sales cycle.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
1. Business Development & Lead Generation
n
n
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across Altre's target markets and client segments.
n
- Build and manage a qualified pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals, networking, partnerships, events, and other business development channels.
n
- Research target accounts, identify relevant business triggers, and understand potential commercial real estate requirements.
n
- Conduct prospecting through calls, emails, LinkedIn, meetings, events, and other relevant channels.
n
- Build relationships with key decision-makers across CXO, Real Estate, Facilities, Workplace, HR, Finance, Administration, and Operations functions.
n
- Qualify opportunities based on client requirements, timelines, decision-making structures, commercial potential, and fit with Altre's capabilities.
n
- Consistently achieve defined lead generation, pipeline, meeting, revenue, and business development targets.
n
n
2. Client & Relationship Management
n
n
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients throughout the business development lifecycle.
n
- Engage with senior stakeholders and build credibility as a trusted commercial real estate advisor.
n
- Understand client business objectives, expansion plans, workplace requirements, real estate challenges, and decision-making priorities.
n
- Identify opportunities to deepen relationships and develop additional business within existing accounts.
n
- Maintain regular engagement with prospects and clients to identify emerging requirements and future opportunities.
n
- Represent Altre professionally across client meetings, industry events, networking forums, and business interactions.
n
n
3. Opportunity & Pipeline Management
n
n
- Manage opportunities from initial prospecting and qualification through commercial discussions and closure.
n
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date opportunity, activity, and pipeline information.
n
- Track lead stages, next steps, decision-makers, timelines, probability, and expected closure values.
n
- Prepare regular pipeline forecasts and business development reports for management.
n
- Coordinate internally to ensure timely responses, proposals, presentations, and commercial submissions.
n
- Proactively identify risks, delays, stalled opportunities,
and actions required to move opportunities forward.
n
- Ensure structured handover of won opportunities to the relevant internal teams.
n
n
4. Solution Development & Commercial Negotiation
n
n
- Understand client requirements and work with internal teams to develop relevant solutions and proposals.
n
- Translate client requirements into clear business propositions aligned with Altre's capabilities.
n
- Coordinate preparation of proposals, presentations, commercial submissions, and other sales collateral.
n
- Lead commercial conversations and negotiations with clients and other stakeholders.
n
- Understand scope, commercials, timelines, deliverables, and contractual considerations relevant to each opportunity.
n
- Manage objections and develop commercially viable solutions that create value for both the client and Altre.
n
- Support the conversion of qualified opportunities into successful engagements.
n
n
5. Market Intelligence & Partnerships
n
n
- Track commercial real estate, workplace, business expansion, and corporate activity to identify recent business opportunities.
n
- Monitor companies expanding, entering new markets, setting up offices, hiring at scale, raising capital, or undertaking other activities that may create commercial real estate requirements.
n
- Develop relationships with relevant ecosystem stakeholders, consultants, qualified firms, industry bodies, investors, founders, and other potential referral partners.
n
- Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and referral-led business development.
n
- Maintain a strong understanding of Altre's market, competitors, target accounts, and evolving client requirements.
n
- Share relevant market intelligence and prospect insights with internal teams.
n
n
6. Internal Coordination & Business Handover
n
n
- Work closely with internal consulting, design, project, operations, and leadership teams to develop and convert opportunities.
n
- Ensure client requirements and expectations are clearly communicated internally.
n
- Coordinate meetings, site visits, presentations, proposals, and commercial discussions as required.
n
- Maintain clear documentation of client requirements, commitments, commercial discussions, and agreed next steps.
n
- Ensure a structured and complete handover following successful closure.
n
- Support internal teams in maintaining a seamless client experience throughout the transition from business development to delivery.
n
n
Must-Have Skills
n
n
- 2-6 years of experience in business development, consultative sales, client acquisition, or relationship management within a B2B environment.
n
- Prior experience in International Property Consultancies (IPCs), preferably followed by hospitality, design & build,
interior fit-out, project management, commercial real estate, or allied professional services.
n
- Proven ability to generate and develop new business opportunities.
n
- Strong understanding of the B2B sales lifecycle, from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and closure.
n
- Experience engaging with senior decision-makers and managing multiple stakeholders.
n
- Strong consultative selling and solution-oriented approach.
n
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
n
- Strong commercial understanding and ability to articulate value propositions.
n
- Ability to independently manage a sales pipeline and consistently follow up on opportunities.
n
- Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, CRM / sales tracking systems, LinkedIn, and other business development tools.
n
- Strong research and prospecting capabilities with the ability to identify relevant accounts, decision-makers, and business triggers.
n
- Highly organized, target-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
n
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while maintaining ownership of business outcomes.
n

Good to Have
n
n
- Experience with major International Property Consultancies (IPCs).
n
- Experience working with corporate, enterprise, multinational, GCC, BFSI, Pharma, Technology, or other institutional clients.
n
- Existing network among corporate decision-makers, founders, CXOs, Real Estate, Workplace, Facilities, HR, Finance, or Administration leaders.
n
- Experience in consultative selling of complex services rather than purely transactional products.
n
- Experience managing mid-to-large enterprise accounts and long sales cycles.
n
- Exposure to commercial real estate, workplace strategy, office solutions, design & build, project management, facilities, hospitality, or other adjacent sectors.
n
- Experience using CRM platforms, sales intelligence tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, or similar prospecting and business development platforms.
n
- Experience developing referral, channel, alliance, or ecosystem partnerships.
n
- Strong understanding of commercial proposals, pricing, negotiations, and contractual discussions.
n
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Real Estate, Hospitality, Architecture, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
