ROLE

n

The Clinical Psychologist will be responsible for the psychological assessment and management of patients presenting with a range of emotional, behavioural, psychological, and adjustment-related concerns.

n

The role involves independent clinical work as well as appropriate collaboration with other healthcare professionals when a multidisciplinary approach is indicated.

n

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

n

n
- Conduct structured clinical interviews and comprehensive psychological assessments.
n
- Establish appropriate clinical formulations based on presenting concerns, history, behavioural patterns, psychosocial factors, and available clinical information.
n
- Use standardized psychological and psychometric assessments appropriately and within professional scope.
n
- Identify psychological, emotional, behavioural, and psychosocial factors contributing to the patient's presentation.
n
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment and formulation.
n
- Provide evidence-based psychological interventions appropriate to the patient's clinical needs.
n
- Monitor treatment response and review clinical outcomes over the course of care.
n
- Conduct appropriate risk assessment, including assessment of self-harm, suicide risk, abuse, neglect, or other relevant safeguarding concerns.
n
- Recognize situations requiring psychiatric, medical, emergency, or other specialist referral and coordinate care appropriately.
n
- Maintain clear, accurate, confidential, and contemporaneous clinical documentation.
n
- Prepare psychological assessment reports and clinical summaries when required.
n
- Provide appropriate psychoeducation to patients and caregivers.
n
- Maintain clear professional boundaries and uphold confidentiality at all times.
n




- Participate in multidisciplinary discussions when psychological input is clinically relevant.
n
- Communicate psychological findings to other healthcare professionals appropriately while maintaining patient confidentiality and professional boundaries.
n
- Maintain appropriate follow-up and outcome documentation.
n
- Remain current with evidence-based psychological practice, clinical research, and professional standards.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

n

n
- Appropriate postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology recognized under applicable Indian regulations.
n
- Valid RCI registration / Central Rehabilitation Register (CRR), where applicable to the professional's qualification and scope of practice.
n




- Demonstrable supervised and/or independent clinical experience appropriate to the level of the position.
n
- Strong understanding of professional ethics, confidentiality, informed consent, documentation, and clinical boundaries.
n
- Ability to recognize the limits of one's own scope of practice and make appropriate referrals when required.
n

EXPERIENCE

n

2+ years of relevant clinical experience is preferred.

n

Experience in a hospital, mental health service, multidisciplinary clinical setting, or established psychological practice will be an advantage.

n

Candidates with strong clinical training and appropriate professional credentials may also be considered based on competency and role fit.
