Job Description

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for managing efficient collections, resulting in minimizing roll-forwards and maximizing recoveries across the pan-India in our Loan Against Property (LAP) portfolio, to deliver lower credit costs. This role specifically drives structural resolutions for hard buckets (60+ DPD), Gross NPA reduction, and write-off recoveries. The position commands an aggressive execution of statutory recovery mechanisms, active management of legal enforcement agencies, and deep utilization of data analytics to protect the organization's asset quality.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

n

- Hard Bucket & NPA Portfolio Management: Formulate and execute pan-India energetic collection strategies for accounts in 60+ DPD and structural NPA stages to prevent slide into higher provisioning bands.
n
- Statutory Legal Enforcement: Directly spearhead legal recovery actions under the SARFAESI Act (Section 13, Physical Possessions, DM/CMM approvals), Section 138 of NI Act, Arbitration, and Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) protocols.
n
- Repossession & Auction Governance: Oversee the asset enforcement value chain including resolution agencies, legal advisors, valuers, and structural repossession vendors. Conduct fair-market auctions for quick asset liquidation.

- One-Time Settlement (OTS) & Restructuring: Structure, review, and approve commercially viable OTS proposals and complex loan restructuring cases within delegated authority matrix to optimize absolute value recovery.

- Agency & Vendor Empanelment: Identify, evaluate, empanel,



and monitor specialized pan-India recovery agents and enforcement agencies, establishing stringent SLAs, compliance oversight, and dynamic payout structures.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Gross NPA (GNPA) Reduction: Percentage reduction in the overall GNPA pool quarter-on-quarter against defined budget benchmarks.
n
- Hard Bucket Resolution Rate: Rollback and resolution efficiency percentage in the 60+ DPD structural portfolio.
n
- Absolute Write-off Recovery: Net value collected from technically written-off accounts and historical bad pools.
n
- SARFAESI Timeline Efficiency: Reduction in average days taken from Section 13(2) notice issuance to final physical possession and auction execution.
n
- Compliance Score: Zero regulatory, RBI, or fair practices code deviations across all external recovery agencies and field operations.

Qualifications & Relevant Experience

n

n
- Educational Background: Postgraduate degree in Business Management (MBA), Finance, Commerce, Law, or related quantitative field.
n
- Overall Experience: 10 to 15 years of robust experience within Banks, Housing Finance Companies (HFCs), or prominent NBFCs.
n
- Domain Expertise:



Minimum 5 years of leading regional or national roles exclusively focused on hard bucket collections and structural NPA recoveries for secured retail products (primarily LAP / Mortgages).
n
- Geographical Exposure: Proven track record managing pan-India geographies, multi-cultural field forces, and deep cross-state legal variations.

- Excellent Interpersonal skills

- To do monthly review and update to Management with assurance reportings

Technical Aptitudes & Competencies

n

- Legal & Regulatory Mastery: Expert knowledge of the SARFAESI Act, debt recovery tribunal (DRT) mechanisms, Section 138/ICPC regulations, and RBI guidelines regarding Fair Practices Code for asset recoveries.
n
- Data Analytics & Forecasting: Ability to interpret delinquency trendlines, construct predictive roll-forward models, and extract structural insights using tools like Advanced Excel, Power BI, or collection software dashboards.

- Asset Valuation & Liquidation: Strong capability to objectively evaluate commercial/residential properties, assess market value vs. distress value, and run legal auction strategies effectively.

- Negotiation & Conflict Resolution: Highly developed commercial negotiation capabilities for handling high-value OTS settlements and defusing intense legal or localized repo disputes.

- Knowledge of Field recovery, Tele-Collections, Vendor Management, Fraud Management, Fund management, analytical skills, Bucket collection management and Legal Collection Management.
