Role Description The PGT Social and PGT Physics roles are full-time, in office teaching positions based at Rainbow School in Nellore. Educators in these roles will plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons, design assessments, and provide constructive feedback to support student progress. They will integrate experiential and inquiry-based approaches, encourage critical thinking, and facilitate discussions that connect classroom concepts with real-world applications.
Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate academic records, collaborating with colleagues on interdisciplinary initiatives,
participating in staff meetings and professional development, and communicating regularly with parents and guardians. Faculty members are also expected to contribute to co-curricular activities, uphold school policies, and foster an inclusive, respectful classroom environment.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in core Physics concepts, including classical and modern Physics.
- Knowledge of Radiation and its applications, with an emphasis on safety and conceptual understanding.
- Background in Theoretical Physics, enabling clear explanation of abstract principles and models.
- Exposure to Medical Physics or related applied Physics domains is an advantage.
- Expertise in Physics Education, including effective pedagogy, curriculum planning, and student assessment.
- Relevant postgraduate degree (e.g., M.A./M.Sc. with B.Ed.) in Social Sciences or Physics from a recognized institution.
- Prior experience teaching secondary or senior secondary classes, preferably in a CBSE or equivalent setting.
- Ability to use educational technology, digital resources, and data to enhance teaching and learning.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills, with a learner-centered approach.
- Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices and ongoing skilled growth.
