Role & responsibilities
Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of production machines and utility equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical faults and carry out repairs.
Maintain CNC/VMC machines, laser cutting machines, press brakes, compressors, DG sets, pumps, and other plant equipment as applicable.
Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring of machines.
Assist in machine installation, commissioning, and relocation activities.
Replace defective machine parts, bearings, belts, motors, sensors, valves, and other components.
Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and equipment history cards.
Ensure availability of critical spare parts and communicate stock requirements.
Support TPM, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordinate with production teams to minimize machine downtime.
Follow safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and 5S practices.
Attend emergency breakdowns and restore equipment within targeted timelines.
Report recurring issues and recommend corrective actions.
